Comment: HI i had Windows 95 but it totally messed up, so i had to reformat my hard drive, but i lost ALL use of my CD ROM drive,so i need to install windows 3.1 using dics then from there install my CD ROM again then install windows 95. THis computer im using now sux

Reply: (edit)How important it is to have a startup disk with cd rom support....If you have a win95 startup disk..boot from that...then find the disk with your cd-rom dos drivers on it and load them...then you can setup win 95 again...

Reply: (edit)Im using a realmagc CDROM and i have the disk, so from the startup disk, i tried installing it, but it gave me error messages like cant find win.ini file... i hope thats what you mean by CDrom dos drivers

Reply: (edit)wait i worded that wrong, after i loaded the command from the startup disk, I used the real magic disk to try to setup real magc again.I have nothing at all on my C: drive
