boot trouble (virus)

good morning !
My old computer has been infected by a virus (=> virus boot a: ) . I can't load either win 3.1 nor dos 6.2 . When the computer start , it load the bios and after , an underscore flicke at the right side " _ _ _ _ _ " and nothing load .
i have this problem since i have insert a fu** floppy disk. but now i can do nothing .

If it were me the first attempt I would make is to remove the hard drive from the infected machine and hook it up as a slave to another system and run a virus scan there...HTH
Keep the old stuff running

Are you sure it is a Virus ??
Have you checked that the hard drive still has the system files intact ??

Just thought of another thing F-Prot I think still has a BOOTABLE floppy that might be of some help as well....

I have try the floopy with a recent computer with antivirus ( Kaspersky ) , it has detect immediatly the virus . But for my old computer i don't think that an antivirus will done, because the effect of virus is loaded and it has destroy the boot files.

Boot from a system disk and type from the a:>
fdisk /mbr
and press enter.
If it is a boot sector virus, that may well fix your problem.
