Hi everyone, hope you can help!

I have an old PC running Win 3.1, and it gave up the other day! System says Hard Drive error, then asks for a boot disk. I've downloaded what I think is the right one, called dosbot.exe, but this doesn't work. Sorry if I'm a bit vague, I'm not *that* up to speed on this side of things! Would anyone have a link to the files that I need to use? Thanks in advance! Best regards from Scotland, Kara.

I have the same exact problem with an old computer of mine. I have search every where for any kind of boot disk for windows 3.1 with no success. I used a windows 98 boot disk and got it to start up in Dos, but could go no further.
If you have found a win 3.1 boot disk, please tell me where. Thanks

DOS install disks can be downloaded from
www.adondonkeep.com (you also need to download rawrite.exe to split the download file onto floppies)
You need to get DOS to work before Windows.
Good Luck

I have used Abandonkeep OK recently:-

You could also try
