I recently received a 486dx which was running Win 3.1 rather well. One day it just wouldn't boot up! When i turn it on it makes a loud buzzing sound. Could any one Help??

Take it apart and find the battery on the motherboard. It probably looks like a big watch battery. Remove it, then put it back in- this will reset you computer's startup sequence to default settings. If this doesn't at least show you the starting screen, you can remove cards and unplug drives 1 at a time until you isolate the problem. If you unplug everything from the motherboard and still have the same problem, it's in the motherboard, processor, or power supply. Take the hard drive out and start looking in the paper for something to put it in.
