I just got done puting a 433 celeron computer together. I turned it on for the first time and I can't get anything up on the monitor not even the bios. My dad gave me an old hard drive out of a 486 that i put in it. He said that it needs to be reformated, but I'm not sure how to do that.please help me figure this out.

You may need to format the drive, but the state of the drive has no effect on the display of BIOS information. There is something more fundamental than a drive problem here....

I Agree, Try opening the box and check all connections and try again; if that doesn't work remove the hard drive and see if your system will run the BIOS.
