Comment: I just got done puting a 433 celeron computer together. I turned it on for the first time and I can't get anything up on the monitor not even the bios. My dad gave me an old hard drive out of a 486 that i put in it. He said that it needs to be reformated, but I'm not sure how to do that.please help me figure this out.

Reply: (edit)You may need to format the drive, but the state of the drive has no effect on the display of BIOS information. There is something more fundamental than a drive problem here....

Reply: (edit)I Agree, Try opening the box and check all connections and try again; if that doesn't work remove the hard drive and see if your system will run the BIOS.
