Hi guys,
I need to send a .bat or .vbs file tru an email, and i need it to install in a folder on C: drive automaticly. Basicly u get the mail, , then clic on the file, , clic yes, and it auto instal in the start folder.
Can someone tell me how to do that, or where to get the info..thanks

What do you mean you need it to "install automatically"? You don't "install" batch or vbs files. Are you saying you want it to copy itself from the temporary folder it would be in when opened to a more permanent locating? If so, do you want it in a specific folder on the C drive, or are you trying to get it to go to the "Startup" folder found in the Start menu?
Finally, what is it you are making?

yes, I want it to copy itself from the temporary folder when opened to a more permanent locating, in a specific folder on the C drive. The "Startup" folder found in the Start menu would be perfect.
Do u know how to do that???

I can't confirm this (never have been much of a batch person), but I would think you could do something as simple as:
copy file.bat c:\folder\file.bat
Assuming your file is named "file.bat" it would copy itself from where ever it was saved to the folder on C:

Hi,
i've got an other problem at work. Every time I restart my computer, it erase everything on the C drive, but not the D. How can I do to stop this to happen, is it some kind of windows option, or a specific program.
if anybody know thank for the info...

Every time you start your computer it erases *everything* on the C drive? Do you mean this in the literal sense, or do you just mean that specific files and changes you made to the C drive disappear after restarting?
If you are talking about the second situation, it's probably by design. Some organizations set up their work stations to discard changes made to the operating system and the system drive when the computer restarts. This is so people don't go in and accidentally or intentionally mess up the computer.

To the original point, much depends on the email client you are using.

the second situation, its whats happening, do u know how can i change this, cause i always loose, all my favorites web sites, and changes i make on the c drive. i've been looking for so long but I can't change it. Thanks for any help u can give me on that.

The point is you can't change it. If you could "disable" this behavior, what would be the point of your company setting it up in the first point?

You might be able to save favorites and run apps from applications on a flash drive:
but if your machine has been setup to allow something like "read-only" access, then you'd need an administrator to change that (and none of this apparently has anything to do with Windows 3.1 anyway...)

T-R-A,
Sounds more like a case of 'Aliens Ate My Buick'
