Anyone here has Netscape 4.08 with AOL instant messenger? I accidentally deleted AIM but it is unrecoverable now and i don't want to reinstall the whole thing. I need only the AIM.exe program in the c:\netscape\comm\program directory. If someone could send it to me, it would make my day! Thanks. Lightspeed.

Thanks ZVT, but i think you sent me a 9x link? The install is almost 5 Megs! Mine is just over 1.2 Meg. I already have the 3.x link .. http://dynamic.aol.com/cgi/aim-download .. but like i said, i don't want to reinstall, i would just like the AIM.exe component (16 bits please), since it is the only one i need. It is already installed, so i don't want to go through it again, i'm not even sure i have enough disk space!. My HD is so crowded, it is unbelievable! Thanks anyway ZVT. Lightspeed.

Thanks James, your pass figures (same as your page, listed in mine), but i already have 2 HDs in the waiting, the problem is time, and i need a new card (i know where to get it). I live in Ottawa, next to the Canadian government, and used comps are not hard to come by! I also will get a new comp soon. Please, is there no one here who uses Netscape? I need only answers to my very specific question. I need AIM.exe from the C:\NETSCAPE\COMM\PROGRAM folder. Something like 150k. Help !?!

Lightspeed I know where you can download netscape 4.08 for free although I know you have this and its about 8.3mb but the file you looking for do it come with netscape

The download for Netscape 4.08 at 8.5 Mb is the Navigator, it does not include the email client "messenger", and thus it does not include AOL Instant Messenger either. Only the Netscape Communicator 4.08 as it all, but it is a 17+ MB download. I made some room and reinstalled from the link in response #2. It forced me to clean up my drives, which is ok. I'm fine now, thanks for your help.
