Hi all!
:-)
I'm looking for a Win 3.11 MP3 player to use on a Pentium 100MHz machine running Win 3.11

A P-100 could easily run Win 95, but Win 3.11 is very, very fast on a P100, and I only want to use it as a dedicated MP3 player. I want to use Win 3.11, cos I have a disk set, and it is simple and easy to use, and would provide a GUI for the MP3 player. I have tried a search on the net, but don't really get any results...
Any suggestions and/or links???

WinPlay3 is not really suitable, unless you can get an update from v.3, that will allow playlists.

Ta!
:-)

My favorite on my P1 is audioactive aaplayer- its fast and made for w31...its the only one i use, although some people prefer winplay3, which runs fine on a P1.(but it gives me error messages))
You can find audioactive at lightspeed's page Http://lightspeed.alturl.com

I am a fan of WinPlay3 and haven't really had any trouble with it. It has worked for me on a 486-33DX with 8 Meg of RAM.

You do have to go to the OPTIONS and lower the settings for a 486.

Adding playlist capabilities to WinPlay is an option. Look in this forum for solutions.

I think the easiest playlist interface has the DOS program called XTC player version 0.97.

However it requires a soundcard that is supported (Soundblaster, GUS etc.) and the MP3īs must be of the right format (Fraunhofer L3ENC encoded ones play well).....
