just got a newer computer
in it there was a agp video card
marked GA-622-320
I installed the 3.1 tnt2 drivers that I found
but after that every time windows started the computer rebootedso I tryed looking up drivers for cards close to it
looked as if it either was a s3 or sis chip
so I installed the sis 6326 driver
(it did not work)
but after that the tnt2 drivers did...
256,high color&true color now workthe only trouble is
with or without drivers
black pixels on the screen
all make a hazy smear to the right
I tryed different monitors
nothing so farwat say?

Actually nVidia have bugger all to do with S3 or SiS, so at a loss why you felt those drivers would suffice:
http://www.nvidia.com/page/tnt2.html
Maybe a nVidia driver would work with a nVidia card ?

Black pixels on the screen or black icons?
For black icons with True Color display drivers see:

there are plenty of colors on icons
and everything else
dark colors sort of smear on the horizontal
left and rightits the same in all color modes
16,256,32k,16m etc....
even the dos prompt and boot screen
