386 vs. monochrome

CPU/Ram: 386/dont know

i have a 386 with windows 3.1 installed - no monitor, no software.
i want to install a monochrome monitor and its old 12 inch video card. how am i supposed to do this when i cant even see what im doing? is there a boot disk for this kind of thing floating around out there?
plz help, email me if you want to as well.

I think that Win3.1 needs at a minimum a graphics card. I have installed Win3.1 with a hercules mode monochrome card.
