As far as I know, you need a minumum of 512K to get 256 colors. Usually its easier to find a 1K video card.

Yes, there was a driver that does the trick on the Win3.0 Multimedia Extensions CD that does 320x200x256. This is almost useless under 3.1 and completely useless under Win9x.

Ok this is a very late answer to some older questions but there does exist such a driver. Do an internetsearch for MMDISP.exe

You must know that some Windows application are not usable with this low resolution, so maybe you can install a second instance of windows on your harddrive with only applications that run in 320x200 well....
