311 Instalation Problem

I tried to reistall/upgrade wfw311. But it will not let me go beyond disk #2. The Windows simply will not come up. It only unreadable letters on the screen. I reloaded the original display driver Stealth SE Windows v3.1 , it doesn't help either.
If I forced by typing 'win' after the unreadable letters, Windows logo will come up, but than with error message: 'This version of Windows is not completly set up. Quit setup and run set up again'.
I have been trying that x-many times, but doesn't work.

i think it may be the second disk is damaged..if you would like me to i can send u disk 2 in an email but it will be in a ( .IMZ ) format...just email me and ill help ya out good luck :o) Chris

Thanks Chris (386 lover) for your offer. I found out the problem. It is by the display driver. During instalation Windows for WkGr 3.11 doesn't support other display driver but the 'VGA'. Regardles what kind of video driver physically you have, put VGA. I was able to install all 8 disk.
Other problem I am facing, why is my Network Ikon doesn't appear in controll panel, meaning I am not connected to the network.
After boot up the system doesn't ask me for a password. Why is that? How to change that? Anybody has a clue?
