I'm working with a 486 that had a stuffed boot sector. I replaced it, and decided to get a soundcard. The one I got was second hand. No drivers. I managed to work out that it is a gallant sc7000 and downloaded the driver disks, which are sposed to be for both win 3.x & 95. They zipped on to 2 disks. Heres the problems: 1) the install only used disk 1 2) when I tried to start win 3.1 it gave a blue screen message of 'VSDSYS.386 was unable to locate the Windows Sound System hardware. I pressed enter and it carried on 3) Next I got a box message of 'CS32BA11.DRV(I THINK) ..... VSNDSYS.386 is not present. I clicked ok and windows finished loading. But the mouse won't work.
I have it connected through a cd drive. Can anybody help????
