Microsoft Windows server 2003
April 16, 2010 at 09:58:32
Specs: Windows Server 2008, 3.00GHz/8GB
I just installed Windows Updates last night
and when the server was rebooted, 2008 Std
64 bit, on post it ran through
for like 3 hours this happened on every Win
2008 server I had. Anyone aware of why this
is happening?

That particular registry entry has to do with the system platform, and depending on the update version, it could take forever and a day.

However, it is best to turn automatic updates off. It's a server platform, so the only real updates your going to need are the ones you can get through the Server Manager when the time comes.

A system restore might be helpful here..
