I did a clean install of Windows Server 2008 Standard X86 on a former Windows 7 Home Premium box and for the most part it went well. I cannot get the network adapter to function though. Tried updating driver and uninstalling but neither worked. Device manager reports that the driver was successfully installed, but the driver software encountered a problem when it tried to run. Problem code 10. The device is a Realtek RTL8168/8111 Family PCI-E Gigabit Ethernet NIC (NDIS 6.0) Does anyone have any ideas? Thanks, Nick
Thanks, but I am using the latest driver for Windows Server 2008 that I downloaded from the Realtek Driver Library.
Have you tried uninstalling the device? Not just the driver but the device as well. Tony
