mmc.exe process utilizing atmost 99% cpu resource in windows 2008 server, Please advise

I just Googled it and the real mmc.exe is a part of some versions of windows and windows server, but some malware may be camouflaging itself as this. Some sites offer to 'repair it' if you click on them, but DO NOT. Assuming you are running an antivirus program already, download, install, and run Malwarebytes (free version) and see if it picks up on any infection. If it does, it should be able to remove it. I believe that the real one is not an essential part of windows, so if you want to try shutting it down to run (or rerun) Malwarebytes, that should be fine, a restart would get the correct one running again anyway.

You have to be a little bit crazy to keep you from going insane.
If all else fails, read instructions.
