Installing Server 2008 on a new hard drive

Specs: Microsoft Server 2008 Std , Xeon/8GB
I'm attempting to install a new Dell PowerEdge T310 at a friend's business. The system is new, no OS installed. Microsoft Server 2008 Std (open license) was downloaded as an iso and the image was burned to a dvd which is apparently not a boot disk. How do I initiate the installation?

Resolved issue by burning image to Dvd+r (instead of -r). Who'd have thunk?
