I just purchased a new Server with Windows Server 2008 64bit standard edition. How do I share my internet connection using this server.
At present I have a NT4 (backoffice4) server, a 10/100 switch and a satelite modem. A net cable goes from modem to switch and another from switch to server. Rest of my wi-fi routers are connected to switch.
Server has 2 IPs, one of my ISPs and second is my local LAN's, this local LAN's IP is gateway for other computers in LAN.
How do I replicate this model in Win 2008? I connected my new server to switch, copied IPs from old to new , internet is running on server but clients (running on Win XP) show a IIS 7 welcome screen and then a 404 server error. Please help! Guide to resources.

What a mess.
Modem to switch to a Router to all computers.
Make sure DHCP is on on the router.
Add a router and eliminate that other stuff unless it's a class project for IIS.
