Solved How to see win2008 group users in a more efficient manner?

Hi Everyone,

I am starting my new MCITP, there is something which seems really strange to me, in order to see the group users, you have to click on each group, this makes everything so complicated when you have many.

Do you know a way to have all the group users organized in a "tree" like view please?

Thank you,

That's the way it is, and I don't really see a better way of doing it. You don't use groups for organizing your users, you use organizational units (OU's). If you put your users in OU's, then you'll get the tree you're looking for. Groups are for assigning permissions. IE. You have an Accounting share on a server, you can grant access to that share only to the accounting group, and instead of changing the permissions on the share every time, you just change the group membership. This works out especially well when you have multiple resources that the same group of people need access to.
