How to load GB2312 into MS WindowsServer 2008

Specs: Windows Server 2008
I have a Microsoft Virtual PC installed with Windows Server 2008 (32bit) and MS SQL Server 2008. I am trying to test a software that cannot handle Unicode. So, I need to load some Chinese Simplified characters into this database.
1) In my PC (Windows 7), I can use Notepad++ and MS Word to create and save a text file with GB2312 codepage/encoding. Windows codepage 936 = GB2312. Example characters:
In the Virtual server, I cannot see these characters as the character set/encoding GB2312 is not available there. How can I load this code page into the server?

2) The current collation of the database is SQL_Latin1_General_CP1_CI_AS. I understand that this set may be able to handle GB2312 characters too?

Hope someone can spare some advice. Thanks a lot.

I found the solution for the 1st question by setting Chinese locale in Windows Server 2008 at the Regional and Language Settings - Language for non-Unicode programs.
