Specs: windows server 2008 enterprise, xeon 3430/8gb
i simply want to create an offsite backup server

i have created users in AD and a root folder for the users in e:\ftp

i have a dyndns name, but for example in this post i will use a fictious one:

port forwarding is setup to the server through the router on port 20/21

i want users to be allocated a set amount of space, for example 5GB to stop them flooding my hard disk with too much data

i've had sucess with filezilla server but cant find a way to restrict users to the 5GB limit

is there a simple way to do this please?

If you're running filezilla on Server 2008, then just set disk quotas for the users.

you do port forwarding for inbound not outbound fyi
the port forwarding would be on the router with the distination server.
