exchange 2010 installation on same network

Specs: Windows XP
I would like to know following:

Server 2008 r2 stand (online as domain controller wiht 30 users.).
Planning to add new server with exchange 2010. How I sync domain users with exchange.

Normally you install 2008 on the new server joining the existing domain and then install exchange.

If this is SBS with exchange you can not join it to your existing domain.

wanderer is right.
The connection between Exchange and the domain occurs when the underlying windows server is joined to the domain. Exchange is installed afterwards ( it is an application running on windows) When exchange is installed the AD scheme is updated to include more user property objects related to email.

The grass may not be greener on the other side but it just might have less weeds...
