Hello members
I wonder if I could connect a WHS (cable)through an Airport Extreme Base Station wireless to the gateway/modem? This because I would like to have the WHS in another room and I have the base station already.
Any thoughts or experiences?

Thanks

It is one of the design basic requests, that the WHS must use a wired connection.
Wireless connection of the home server itself is a strictly no go, because WLAN does not provide the necessary bandwidth and network reliability for all the server functionality.

Hi Kirsty
Thanks
One thing I found out myself is that , if I backup my Fusion OS(XP)to WHS it goes through the bridged connection(MBP) and wireless to the default gateway and then wired to the WHS machine. So, if I connect the WHS machine (wired) to a router(network extension) and then wireless to my default gateway it should also work? It is just that I would like to put the WHS machine away in another room because of the noise and do not like to lay any cables.
I guess/hope it works?
