|I'm having a problem with MOST of the clients on my network not registering DNS "A" records on my server. DHCP and DNS are both running on the same Server 2008 box.|
I have two Vista boxes which get a DHCP address fine then register their "PTR" record but no "A" record. I have another XP box which does the same thing. However, I have an Xbox 360 which does everything correctly (Get's IP and registers both "PTR" and "A" records).
Server is configured as a domain controller but I have not added any one to it becuase I'm still testing it. Also, I configured the DHCP DNS update credentials and added both that user account and the server to the DNSUpdateProxy security group.
Any one have any suggestions?
