Hey guys I am having a problem. At home I have a windows 2003 server and XP clients, and it runs perfectly. (no, thats not the problem lol) I have set up a 2003 server at my dads shop and have 3 workstations. 2 running XP Pro and one running home. Now I know that home cant logon to domains, but i havent gotten around to formatting it yet. The problem is with the pro machines. We leave all the computers on, and every morning I am getting a phone call at promtly 6 am saying that dad is down there and teh computers arent working. He is not the type to remember instructions even though this happens every day. It seems that we cant access any of the shares on the server, as the authentication has gone AWOL. All it takes is for me to log the machine off and log back on again, and its fine. NOW.. the amazing part is, with the XP home machine, i simply go to map drive r: to \\2k3server\retailmanager and the lovely little box comes up saying i need to enter a user/pass. so i do and it does. It maps the drive and all is fine. AND this machine isnt having the same problem as the other 2, as its not joined to the domain. I need to fix the problem for the sake of my sanity and sleep deprevation from being woken up about 2 hours after i get to sleep. Ayone have any suggestions? Anyone know what is causing it?
