I am new to windows 2003, what i am trying to do is to join my xp box to the windows 2003 server under its active directory. I created a user account "henry" under the AD, and I create a user account named "henry" with my xp box. My xp box's DNS is pointing to my server's DNS's IP. I tried several things under my xp box's "my computer - prpoperty - computer name and domain and workgroup" and none of my tries works. Please suggest and comment. Thanks

Hopefully this is xp pro since you can't join home to AD.
"henry" needs to be an admin on the domain/forest account to join the workstation to AD
Example of Oxymoron:
Person who is pro choice and anti sex education.
Education is key to prevention. Prevent conception you prevent abortion.Abstinence training clearly isn't working.

My xp is pro. But the thing is I am actually using VM WorkStation for this experiment. I am not sure if it matters. Would you show briefly what step I have to do to join the xp to the server AD?
"henry" is a user I setup under "Administator" account. What did you mean "henry" has to be admin? You mean "henry" on my xp client side has to be admin in that xp box?
thanks

Henry has to be a domain admin.
