Hi,
I was wondering if someone on here could help me. I am trying to setup WSUS 3.0 on our main server. I have installed correctly to the best of my knowledge using documentation I installed via Microsoft's website.
I was given a URL to access the admin part: http://192.168.0.4/WSUSAdmin/
However when I go to this link it brings up a login box. In Active Directory I set up a user who only belongs to the WSUS administrators group.
I then get a runtime error:
Runtime Error
Description: An application error occurred on the server. The current custom error settings for this application prevent the details of the application error from being viewed remotely (for security reasons). It could, however, be viewed by browsers running on the local server machine.Details: To enable the details of this specific error message to be viewable on remote machines, please create a <customErrors> tag within a "web.config" configuration file located in the root directory of the current web application. This <customErrors> tag should then have its "mode" attribute set to "Off".
<configuration>
<system.web>
<customErrors mode="RemoteOnly" defaultRedirect="mycustompage.htm"/>
</system.web>
</configuration>
I don't really want to fiddle about with this. But if someone could point to where I'm going wrong.The only thing it may be is that it mentions in the notes about rebooting the server which I didn't as during the installation I wasn't prompted. Will try it remotely tonight.
But any other help will be greatly appreciated.
