Hi,
In a windows domain, I've a separate file
server machine with one 160 GB SATA for OS
only and two 500 GB mirrored HDDs for data.

What is the best way to take the backup of
this data volume? Can I trust built-in Backup
and Restore?
First time normal and subsequent will be incremental backups.
In case of a failure do I have to restore in the
reverse order? I mean the full backup first and
then all other one by one in the same order?
Regards

do full backups each and every time. I don't bother with incrementals just because of that restore in sequence issue.

ntbackup works fine. make sure to check system state for backup.
