hello-
i have a win2k3 server domain, and i have a group policy enforced where i made the screen saver on each comp disabled, but after 15 min every comp auto locks with password protection.
it works fine on all comps.
i had to reformat a comp and reinstall the OS to give it a fresh start.
after i start it up and join it to the domain- it wont auto lock. i log in with different domain user names, and it still wont auto lock.
i looked at the details of the group policy- it does not single this computer out in any way.

I know this may sound crazy, but are you sure you joined the computer to the domain?
You can also run GPRESULT at the command line and see exactly what policies are being applied.

thanks for the response
the computer is definately joined to the domain- i can log in with different domain users, but when i do i get no auto screen saver, so im thinking it must be computer specific.
however i do not have any computer group policies.
i do like that utility gpresult. it shows that the user polciy is being applied.
any ideas?
thanks in advance
