Hi; Windows 2003 server was running perfectly until I installed a software - Nero. It asked to restart the computer and since then Windows 2003 is not starting. When I restart the computer, it takes me to the startup screen showing the windows 2003 server logo and then a blue screen flashes for less than a second and the computer reboots and the same process is repeated. Safe mode and Last best configuration do not work. Recovery console is the only option I have to repair Windows 2003.
My question is, how do I use Recovery Console to repair a system which has crashed due to installation of a program(Nero in my case). Thanks. Karan

You could try going into recovery console and disabling the service(s) that is installed with nero. I am not sure on the name of that nero service though. It will probably say in the description.

in recovery console you can type help or ? to get help on things you can do in it.
also try installing overtop and when you get to the screen after you pick your partition it will ask again if you want to repair your installation, this repair feature is slightly different from the last, it will allow your machine to resort to the original drivers/files you used to install your OS and hopefully it will work agian
