Just upgraded a Windows 2000 Server to 2003 Enterprise 180 day Trial Edition. So far so good - no hardware difficulties, no software difficulties. But it has only been two days. The 180 day trial is available here: http://www.microsoft.com/windowsserver2003/evaluation/trial/default.mspx
It includes an option to check hardware and software compatibility that may yield interesting results. I think the trial includes a time-limited 5 user license so you can try it out and see how you like it.
