Ok, Windows 2003 is becoming more familiar, but I'm having an issue, let me turn to you, the experts....

I've got the server up, installed, IIS 6 running and Server Extensions installed.

I've got it using 192.168.1.26 for IP address internally.

I created a web site, and configured it to 192.168.1.26

I gave it the domain host header, www.mydomain.com with the IP 192.168.1.26

I also gave it a host header, mydomain.com with the same IP.

I also gavie it a host header, 192.168.1.26 with the matching IP.

I use NetSol.com for my domain registration, and I have the @ mydomain.com and www.mydomain.com pointing to my external IP address.

I have a LinkSys router, and I've forwarded Port 80 to 192.168.1.26

Pinging MyDomain.com or www.MyDomain.com returns my external IP address.

Attempting to access http://192.168.1.26 will show me the web site, attempting to access http://www.MyDomain.com tells me that their is no server.

Attemping to access http://123.123.123.123 <my external IP address> does not display my web site either...What am I doing wrong??

FrontPage 2003 cannot publish to the host header designation, http://www.mydomain.com but it can publish to the internal IP, http://192.168.1.26

Any ideas??

Thanks again...

I think you should specify your DNS1, DNS2 on your domain registra. You have to entered the IP address of those 2 dNS and it takes about 24 hours to replicate and it should be fine. I don't think you should use your external IP address, only use your DNS server IP address okay. Once DNS servers are replicated within 24 hours, than you can access to www.yourdomain.com or by external IP address. YOur web server should be running DNS server and your router is just port 80 forwarding to your internal 192.168...ip okay...nothing else..
