Hi

I've recently installed windows 2003 ENT R2 onto a server and i'm planning on using it as a file server.

One thing that has been noticed is that if you email a document from this server (as in from a client workstation not the server direct) a new unblock button appears on the properties of the document.

If this document is emailed to external users their machines attempt to contact the original server to validate the document - this obviously fails and then opens but as a result it is taking 40-50 seconds to open any documents from this server.

Please see screenshot for more details....

Help !!!

thanks, but i know how to remove attachments from emails. this is at flat file level after being saved from the email client.

The file itself isn't blocked as it can be saved. its after it has been saved this appears.
