We have a windows 2003 server that acts a member server on a windows 2000 domain. Recently the system config file became corrupted and the server won't boot. Having removed one drive from the raid the system boots and gets to logon. The server won't logon onto the domain so i need to log in locally and move it to a workgroup and back to the domain. The problem arises at this point though. Logging on locally using the admin account (or another) the system appears to log but within a second it begins saving settings and logging back off. It keeps returning back to the logon screen even in safe mode and won't logon. Any ideas?

Good idea to do a AV scan.
So you had a problem and then you removed a drive so you could boot? What were you thinking? I have a problem and by making is worse it will get better?
Sounds like your pagefile was on the drive you removed and/or now your drive letter enumeration is messed up. Might want to put it back.
Proper procedure is to go into recovery console and do a system repair which should restore a backedup copy of the config file.
Might want to search technet and knowledge base for the exact recovery procedure relating to this error.
