Comment:
A user is getting the following error message "Windows cannot connect to the domain because controller is down or otherwise unavailable or because your computer account was not found. "
This happened after he computer froze and she had to restart and she cannot log in. I can ping the computer name and also remote desktop on to the computer, but the computer name is not in Active directory. i have logged into the computer as local admin and tried to unjoin and rejoin the domain, when trying to rejoin the domain message says that it cannot find the domain controller, i am new to server 2003 and active directory. If anyone could help it would be greatfully appreciated, if there is n e thing else u need to know please let me know

The netsh command I listed rebuilds the TCP/IP protocol stack.

Hi,
I have a user with a laptop and he logged off on Friday night and now when he's trying to log back on its showing the same message.
For some reason it wont let me log on to the laptop locally either. Unless it was given a different admin password than every other PC, I'm not sure how to correct this.
