Hi,
I am currently trying out windows 2003 server, i have installed it with no problems and did not think about loading any scsi drivers during the setup (windows xp worked fine with my scsi drives). But i cannot see my scsi drives at all under win 2003, not even under computer managment or device manager.

My system is an AMD athlon xp1700+, gigabyte ga-7zxe mobo, 256mb ram, tekram dc390 scsi controller etc. etc. I have win2003 running off of a maxtor 30gb ide drive (3 9.5gb partitions), I also have a 3gb ide quantum. I have 2 SCSI HDDs, one Seagate 9gb (2 4.5gb partition) and one Seagate 2gb running on a Tekram DC390 Scsi controller. I am using the windows 2000 tekram drivers as these are the only drivers I can find that will install. I have had no problems with my scsi devices under linux, windows 98/2000/xp and dos even picks them all up.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

you guessed it, the drivers have to be loaded at install. run repair install to try to load them.

Sorry Rick, I think you're wrong, the drivers don't need to be installed at install! I would imagine that razor is looking for disks which have been assigned a drive letter, 2003 doesn't seem to do this automatically. If this is the case, you'll need to go to computer management > Disk Management (something like that i'm on a 2000 machine at the moment) and assign a drive letter to them. If this isn't the case, then maybe the scsi card drivers are incompatible or its not scanning the scsi bus properly, but I'm pretty sure it will be 2003 not mounting the drives as I've noticed the same thing.

it could be controller card issues, install the driver for your speicifc controller card (if not 2k3 driver use another xp/2000 driver)

then make sure they show up after install/reboot and checking disk management in administrative tools via control panel

to the two above reponses, as i have said in my original post, i cannot see the drives under comp managment, windows doesn't have any drivers installed for the hard drives under device manager and i am using the windows 2000 tekram drivers for the card.

Hello, i had the same problem with my DC390 and Yamaha CRW2100s.

I solved this problem with a driver 3.3a found on deutshland Tekram site, here : http://www.tekram.de/e/sections.php?op=viewarticle&artid=19

thanks etinet, i'm surprised that tekram.com doesn't seem to have the 3.3 drivers on it, anyhow its working fine now.
