I just set up a Win 2003 server for a client today, and I can get the Windows '98 workstations to connect with no problem. When I try to join the Windows XP machines, it asks for the user name and password, and then says something like the domain could not be found. When I purposely type in the wrong domain, it tells me that it is wrong. Also, when I type in a wrong username and password, it tells me that it is wrong. So, I know the workstations are seeing the server. Also, I can get to the server from the Windows XP machines in workgroup mode, I just can't join them to the domain...
Ideas?
My server has a static IP address, and I have configured DNS, and Active Directory. I have DHCP running on a dsl router.
Thanks very much in advance!
Ashish

try nslookup ip address of station and nslookup name station from your station to see if it resolve forward and reverse zone
