Hi,
We are running windows 2003 server as our DHCP/AD server, can Red Hat clients be assigned an IP for our existing LAN? If so will the user login will be similar to windows NT login? Any information would be appreciated.

Sure.

DHCP or IP settings have nothing to do with authentication short of making it possible to connect to the server to login. (You can't login to something that you can't connect to.)

Thank you for the response, however the answer to the second part of my question is still not clear. We use Windows Server AD to manager user accounts and network logon, would it be the same as a windows node when a user logs on? I mean the CTR+ALT+DEL scenario that logs the respective user into the domain, I would appreciate your response.
Thanks, Sam

Linux clients aren't AD clients. While they can be rigged to use AD accounts, things like GPO's that govern this behavior don't apply to linux machines.
