We have a secondary DNS server on our network that is currently running on NT 4. We are wanting to upgrade this to 2003. Are there any good tutorials for a first timer, especially for one that has a limited understanding of DNS and BIND.
I have the DNS files from the NT sever. Will these transfer straight across?
We do not employ active directory and have no need to do so. Just wanting DNS running on a 2003 machine instead of a NT machine for ease and future scalability.

If its a secondary DNS then you'll be pulling records from the primary in which case upgrade the NT machine to 2k3 and transfer the zones from the master
