God day. I have built a "little" home server, it has a Asus P4c800 Motherboard with 875i chipset, 2 Promise Ultra ATA100 and 2 Promise Ultra ATA133 using the latest unsinged drivers from promise. I have 16 Hitachi 250 gb disks hocked upp and a 520w supply. They are all individual disks and nothing is in raid. I have the weirdiest problem. When i try to copy files from one hard drive to another i can see the eventmanager showing that explorer is taking at least 50% but almost 100% cpu on most times.Which i think it shouldn't. It does copy the files to end, but the thing is the explorer event does not go down to 1-7%cpu. It still runs high like 50-70%cpu. I have checked the computer for virus and with diffrent spyware programs. Can't seem to find a resolution. And i have changed both the cpu and the mobo once and still no differnce. Anyone knows what to do?
