Hi i wanted to ask which of all win 2003 versions is the lightest ? i want to use it on my PC, i've seen some articles about changing thing in order to make it fit for a workstation i wanted to know which is the most recommended version of win 2003 for it

If you want the lightest version for a workstation, that would be Windows XP.
It's not gonna matter really which version of Windows 2003 otherwise.

Keep in mind, you're wasting money buying a server OS to use as a desktop. Server OS's are more expensive than desktop OS's. Why pay money for features you won't use???
Also, if you like to game, you'll find you will probably have trouble running a lot of games under 2003.
Your best bet is to take hero's advice and get XP. You won't be paying for things you don't use.
Essentially, if you buy 2003 server (whatever edition) and dummy it down to make it a desktop, you're turning it into XP. So again, why buy 2003 when you really want/need XP???
