Win 2003 as Desktop

I'd like to know if Win 2003 Server work well as a Desktop? some times I am accessing the page, then happen a error, some times whem I conect the page doesen't open. Don't i use server services, but I'd rather Win server 2003 then Win XP. I use dial up connection through modem

what you mean desktop? using only dial-up and IE, Office?, then it works. What kind of error you get?

Reny, Do you mean "Stand Alone Computer" (Desktop). Are you running the FIREWALL< this might block some pages from opening when you are connected to your network check your firewall settings.
You can also Download from Microsoft the following program and it will scan your computer to help you to change updates and security settings (Microsoft Baseline Security Analyzer) When restarting the computer, close any running programs FIRST. Hope this helps

once you strip it down .. an tweak the hell out of it .. it will work fine as a desktop.
If you just want a desktop OS .. and dont care about learning/playing with server 2003 ... go with XP pro .. its the same OS really without all the extra stuff.. an more compatable with desktop apps ... of course .. XP pro needs heavy tweeking as well .. but you can find many sites to help you with that .. just google XP tweek
