I have a server that is currently running Windows 2000 server, I want to install 2003 server, the hard disk setup is a three disk raid 5 with two partions. Because the existing C partion is to small I need to wipe and repartition the disks. If I run the window 2003 setup and then delete the existing partions (having backed up everything first) will deleting the partitions affect the raid setup?? Having never done this I want to know what to expect.

I have to assume hardware raid and as such partitioning and formatting don't effect the raid array.

Why are you not considering doing just an upgrade?

Are you not running AD?

The "C" drive partition is to small hence why I need to repartition the disk's and re-install

The raid is Hardware raid.
