Will WSUS work on external HD

I believe that the question is will it work on a server using an external HD. I believe that it will, I never read any specs saying that it had to be internal. They usually specifically say that it needs to be internal, like dynamic disks for instance only work on internal disks.

I don't see why not - inadvertently, I had PART of a Software RAID using a USB Drive... My only concern would be performance if this was for more than a few users...

i would not put it on one .. it should work fine.
It only takes 10-20gb of storage.

Basically I need to implement WSUS in a school environment. Ive now got a nice 500 gig external drive to put kids/teachers files on. WSUS will go on the internal drive. So no problems.. Was just running out of space fast and wanted to know if WSUS would work properly on an external or not. I am not going to even bother trying :)
