Moreover:
-DNS server is set to respond to queries in internal domain... Works great... NSlookup ok.
-DNS queries that can't be answered by PDC are forwarded to ISP DNS servers... Works great...
-I can access all shared ressources such as SYSVOL and NETLOGON through client IE using \\server\share.BUT:
Windows Explorer gives me an error popup when i try accessing those ressources through windows explorer network browser...
matrixx is not accessible. You might not have permission to use this network ressource. The list of servers for this workgroup is currently unavailable.
Usually, on my first network browsing attempt, through windows explorer network browser, i get those to error messages in Client system Event Log.

Nothing does it...Matrixx.org is just a test domain and i do not own the name but i am not binding it to the net yet...
Where am i going wrong... ?
Anyone have a clue ?
Many Txs in advance...

One last comment...
In regards to shared network ressources...
If i use the net share cmd from the server, sysvol and netlogon shares appear in the list.
But
If i execute the same command from the client, they just don't show up.
This will happen being logged on the client with all profiles...
Txs in advance for your clues and hints...

What OS on the client?
What IPs/mask on server and client?
I assume no firewall on the client, but have to ask anyway.Try running netdiag and dcdiag from the support tools - might help you pin down the problem.

I still suggest you run netdiag /v and dcdiag /v( if you have a domain). Do not post it - it'll be too long.
On the 2 NICs, some else said it doesn't matter - I don't know but I find that hard to believe. Have a look at http://makeashorterlink.com/?P2AE21249

Hey pmkdatabase,
Many txs for that link...
As stated, and from what i have learned on networking since last post it seems to be a multihomed computer/subnet problem. As explained, multihomed computers are meant to communicate over 2 different networks or subnets...
This mapping pb can apparently be solved through WINS configuration if the network integrates a WINS server...
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;242053&sd=ee
(Not tested)As for a multihomed computer with both NICs connected to same subnet in a non WINS oriented network, w2k & over, disabling NetBios over TCP/IP feature on all NICs in network will solve the problem.
(Tested)Many txs for ur help again...
In regards to netlogon pb i'm still working on it. Have tried all test utils and all seems ok... for the moment and with my knowledge of things... lol
I will follow up...
