I am setting up a web server and I would liket o know where is the best place to setup the the web server that will be using IIS, should i set it up behind the router or should I add it into the DMZ zone.

Or would this be a better solution, would it be better to get an additional internet line for the web server because were thinking about getting a T1 line for it and getting a public static ip address for the web server instead of giving it a router static ip address?

Having a seperate line would probably be the best bet, if cost is not a problem. Two birds, one stone! - You get security as the web server is not on your intranet (at least your SECURE intranet), and you get increased speeds from the T1 line. Great!
Although, if cost IS an issue, then putting it on the DMZ will provide security, as systems in the DMZ are not allowed to communicate with systems in the 'green' or secure LAN. This would also work, but the web server would eat into the bandwidth available for the rest of the network when it is under heavy load.

Let me know what you decide upon..

Rob
