what weakness? if your worried about security, allow only users that you assign a password too, and disable all write access, read only.

of course you have a firewall as well, don't you?

Some people in school says there is some weaknesses in the instalation, and the operation of the IIS ftp server. I have never tried it, and i said i would check it out. All documentation i find on it, is on the microsoft pages, but they wount admit they have any weaknesses anyway, therefor i have to check other places.

Try searching google for things like "hacking iis6 ftp" or "iis6 flaws exploits".

you need to stop listening to the linux heads, they like to preach and brag, but linux has it's own "weaknesses".

usually these rabid fans of one os over another have no clue about what they "see" as a flaw in someone else's products.

all software, i repeat ALL software have good and bad, you must learn what they are and migigate the bad and use the good for the job that they are intended for.

stop listening to hearsay and start learning the facts.

keep your system up to date, close all known holes, a good antivirus program up to date, a good firewall running and your system will be as safe as any on the net.
