w2k3 server slow boot up

Comment:
we just bought a new windows 2003 server, and we successfully added the new server to the existing domain with w2k server as the main domain controller. the problem is, it takes long time to boot the 2k3 server up, it stays in the "preparing network connection" for very long and the active directory on w2k3 lost connection to w2k AD very often. I suspect it is the DNS configuration problem, but I am not sure where to start. Thanks for help in advance

if you suspect its your active directory or dns please specify details so we can help
try configuring a wins server windows loves to use wins instead of dns also c:\windows(or winnt)\system32\drivers\etc there is a hosts table here if you specify other dns servers or replication partners here it might speed it up
