If this is a RRAS vpn you have the choice to just the server or server and network. Appears this is configured just for the server.

How are you mapping the drives. Are you using DNS names like...
\\SERVER\Directory
or IP address like...
\\10.10.10.10\Directory
Try using the servers IP address insted of the FQDN because DNS traffic does not always flow through the VPN connection but IP address will always work.
