Hi,
My Windows Server 2003 is configured to accept VPN calls and the router I use for my internet connection (ZyXEL Prestige 642) also (SUA on 1723, etc.).
The VPN with Windows XP client works well on several places from where I've tried except from one: I get a timeout message with error 721 after the client waits on "Verifying username & passord...".
The odd thing is that it has found the server but hangs on the username/password control which both work well from other places...
I've yet tried to log the connection but the file is empty, even with full-logging options.

Hi! I am having exactly the same problem. Interestingly, the VPN connects easily from a computer with exactly the same configuration (and behind the same home router) as the one that won't connect. I have sometimes had success by creating a whole new VPN connection, but for the moment, it is not connecting at all via this machine. Did you ever find a solution or explanation? TIA, DK
